A ston sat at the bar of a posh 5th Avenue hotel sipping on scotch as he watched the little blue beacon flashing on his cell phone. At the moment, the signal was strong and coming from somewhere near E 68th and 5th —less than a hundred yards away. The dot hadn’t moved much in the last couple of hours. That was good . It was getting tiring following them around the goddamned country.

He felt a little bad for tricking Browning into thinking he was leaving the cabin in anger, but that was the only way this little plan was going to work. Besides, he might be using them, but he was saving their asses too. Browning’s idea of uploading the data to the internet was idiotic—he was getting rid of the only bargaining chip he had.

That left them with only one move: kill the people who wanted to kill them. And if you wanted to kill someone you had to trap them first.

And you could trap just about anything with the right bait .
