Chapter 6
Seven Deadly Sinsâ Sloth, Envy, Greed, Pride, Lust, Vanity and Wrath.
1. Sloth â Laziness 2. Envy â Discontent aroused by anotherâs possessions or qualities, with a strong desire to have them for oneâs self.
3. Greed â Rapacious desire, avarice. 4. Pride â Self-respect. 2. Satisfaction over oneâs accomplishments or possessions. 3. A cause or source of this. 4. Conceit, arrogance. 5. A group of lions.
5. Lust â 1. Sexual craving. 2. Any overwhelming craving. 3. To have an inordinate desire.
6. Vanity - Excessive pride, conceit.
7. Wrath â Violent, resentful anger. 2. Retribution. All seven have a connection with one dangerous thing in common. What possible link could there be for these seven seemingly nonrelated attributes? All seven of these forces have the uncanny ability to override the subconscious mind and block any messages stimming from the conscious mind.
This happens in a fraction of a second. When that happens, one or several of those forces are in complete control of your thoughts and actions. Because it happens so quickly, itâs gotten its name from the speed in which it happens, âSNAP.â
Snap or Snapping is such an excepted psychological term by mainstream society. Thatâs why when you regain control via your conscious or subconscious mind itâs referred to as âSnapping out of it.â Snapping out of it is commonly used when someone is coming out of a trance. A trance in which they were not in complete control. Legally, itâs referred to as âTemporary Insanity.â
If lawyers and judges accept this âtranceâ as a synonym meaning temporary insanity, then the characteristics of this trance must make its host crazy. Or as itâs commonly put, he/she wasnât in his/her âRight Mind.â Or âRight State of Mind.â You may hear it put both ways.
As a man who lives everyday with Bi-polar Disorder, I fully understand snapping. One could say I have a vested interest in the inner workings of the human psyche. If youâre able to summons one or more of these Seven Sins in a person that would give you unlimited power.
Example: Adolf Hitler, Jesus Christ, The
Dali Lama, Jim Jones, Dr. Martin Luther King, Elijah Muhammad, Vince Lombardi etc. I could go on forever but Iâm sure youâve absorbed the point. The use of one or more of the Seven Deadly Sins is a powerful weapon and a strong predecessor for the mastering of âStrandsâ and âReceptors.â
When someone is in this state of mind, its ofttimes referred to asâLosing Control.â Iâve heard most of these 7 forces as being in a state of blindness. Example: He was blinded by Greed. Remember the movieâThe Bodyguardâ starring Whitney Houston? Her sister in the movie was blinded by Envy and also driven by Wrath. By the time she âSnapped out of itâ it was too late. Sloth is in a class all by its powerful self. Because sloth shuts down all production.
Any of the seven can prove damaging and or fatal for its host. Since everything is controlled by the mind, then the mind is the ONLY thing worth controlling.
