3.3.A Cube from Eight Squares

With eight squares, two should overlap another two; this means you can use only two fold lines or less.

Can you overlap the relevant squares using two fold lines?

Hint: Try and create one of the 11 possible nets.

Here is the full solution. The result is a valid net for a cube, and as you can see, all faces except two will be colored.

To control the number of white faces, just change the direction of the same two-fold lines. First, fold the two squares backward, so that you get a single white square in front. Fold the next fold line the same as before to get a single white face.
