That night Madé Kerti and Rajin had this conversation:

Rajin: “’Dé, do you think we’ll see them?”

Kerti: “Yah.”

Rajin: “’Dé.”

Kerti: “Yah.”

Rajin: “I don’t think I’ll see them.”

Kerti: “Yah.”

Rajin: “’Dé. Say something else.”

Kerti: “Yah, okay. I’m here with you.”

Rajin: “Say my name, ’Dé.”

Kerti: “I’m here with you … my Rajin.”

Mudita heard them whispering and came with a lamp.

“Bring her to me, Mudita,” said Madé Kerti.

“I will. I’ll be leaving in a few hours.”

“No, ’Dita. Bring me Rajin.”

Mudita lifted the wisp of Rajin and laid her next to the wisp of Madé Kerti.

“Thank you, ’Dita. You’re a good boy,” said Madé Kerti. “Good night, my dear.”

“I’ll come see you before I leave.”

“Yah.”
