“Girl, that boy is into you,” Mercedes says.

“Yeah, you got the vanilla swirl appeal,” Kendra adds, teasing.

“Y’all know I don’t date white guys so miss me on that.”

Danielle says, “I do. I’ll take him. He seems cool.”

I tell her, “I’m not sure it works like that, but go for it.”

Mercedes asks me if I’ve seen Eye Candy here tonight.

“No, but you know I’m looking,” I say.
