The next night on TV, Agatha saw a news item about a certain Mr. Albert Johnson of Berrington, a haggard-looking man in a denim jacket, who had come forward at the last minute with the winning lottery ticket. Asked why he’d waited so long, he said, “I got a whole bunch of relations who’ll try to get their hands on this money, and me and my lawyer took quite a little while to figure out how to keep it to myself.”

“And what will you do with all this money, Mr. Johnson?”

“Quit my job, first thing. I work at the canning factory in Berrington. They can take that job and shove it.”
