Equating money with skill. If you lose money, and money equals skill, then you instantly suck when you lose. You’ll also hate losing because when other players are winning you believe they can suddenly be that much better. If it’s possible for your skill to suddenly disappear, their skill can instantly appear.

Unconscious Competence skills are unconscious—by definition you don’t have to think about them, and consequently they are taken for granted.

Skills in the process of being learned don’t show up when on tilt, and can seem to have disappeared—possibly forever—along with the rest of your game.
