Mathew looks at me and gives me a smile. He looks better than before. I run towards him, wrap him in a hug and say, “I am so glad that you’re okay! Thank you for coming.”

Mathew was the one who had given me a clue about Deer’s location some time back, after I had intervened when some unruly guys were trying to hurt him.

He squeezes me one more time and pulls back. I step around him and give quick hugs to Jacob and Atti too. Atti beams like the sun. There’s something so positive and light about him that I want to spend hours in his company.

“Jacob, Atti, and you’re Mathew, I assume?” Dad asks as he comes to stand next to me. Mathew smiles and nods. “Thank you for coming. Welcome. Breakfast?”

“Yes, please,” Jacob responds. He looks at me and tells me, “it's really good to see you safe and sound. I see you found the Time God.” He says as his eyes roam behind me.

“Come on. Let’s get the introductions done first,” I say and turn on my heels when they nod.

I introduce them to everyone around, the Gods, the cousins, our siblings. Then finally we reach the dining hall where Ma and Caellum are setting the table.

“I didn’t know you had a sister and a brother,” Mathew asks from next to me.

I laugh and wink at Ma, who winks back.

“As much as it gives me immense pleasure to hear that,” Ma rounds the table and extends her hand to Jacob, then Atti, and then to Mathew, “I need to set the record straight by saying that I am her mother. And Caellum is my son, Ada’s younger brother. Thank you for finding us. Hope you guys were safe?”

The Chaos guys pick their jaws from the floor and take a deep breath.

“Yes, we were safe. You don't have to worry,” Jacob says. “We didn’t get your name.”

“Shakti,” Ma smiles.

Dad wraps a possessive arm around her waist and announces, just to clarify. Sense the eye roll here. “My wife.”

Mathew cough-laughs, and Ma tsks.

“Ignore this possessive little thing, the love of my life. He seems to think he needs to announce it to everyone,” she rolls her eyes.

“I need to,” Dad grumbles.

Caellum looks at me and the chaos guys and whispers, “It’s gone really bad. Sometimes I think they’re the teenagers and I’m the one keeping them in line.”

Mathew and Atti laugh out loud, while Jacob smiles good naturedly. I gape at my brother. He really is naughty, isn’t he.

‘He really is.’

I love him.

‘I love him too.’

“Caellum…” Dad warns.

Caellum has the good sense of moving away. He shouts over his shoulder, “I think Sensei is calling me. I will go get him.”

With that he leaves the room to us, and Dad smiles. His eyes find mine when he says, “Your mother has turned him into a carbon copy of herself.”

“You have turned me into a carbon copy of my mother,” I sass him.

‘Yes, yes. I agree,” he sighs dramatically and looks at Jacob.
