In my experience the challenge for teachers isn’t in providing the time for students to explore their interests. The challenge lies in how we best support students with this time. Disengagement, off-task behaviour, and distraction can unfortunately surface during student-driven projects. Genius Hour allows us to strike a powerful balance between providing the time and how to best use the time so students are successful in taking on more agency in their learning.”
