As I entered my apartment a few days later, there was a bad smell of fish. It seemed strange as I hadn't bought any. Then I felt drawn into the living room and there on the window was an image of the most ugliest face I had ever seen! I knew immediately it was evil and pulled the curtains across to hide it away. But this evil, ugly face shone through the curtains, terrifying me. Then everything suddenly changed. God removed the blind from my eyes and I suddenly understood the book I had been reading about having peace with God. I knew I had to make a choice to break free from the strong grip of Satan and give my life to Jesus Christ. I looked the enemy straight in the face and told him to "go from me!" declaring I loved God and was going to serve him. I knelt down by my bed and said very little except that I wanted to serve him. It was enough because I was then covered in a blanket of deep, pure selfless love. I had never experienced anything like it before. I cried tears of joy and an unbelievable peace entered my soul which has never left me. As I rose to my feet I looked at the window, yes the face of Satan had gone! The next day as I travelled to work on the tube, everything was brighter, more colorful and a new confidence filled me because I knew without any doubt, God loved me and I was brimming over with love for him.
