We bring our character, our personal traits and habits, to the trading table.

With absolutely no feeling, the market can drown you. Thousands of traders crash and burn each day, incurring irreparable damage because they let themselves get caught up in their fantasies of how the market would turn their financial world around. They strayed off course because they were unwilling to create a solid trading foundation: a sound trading strategy accompanied by a plan of action that they would be willing to obey. It is a sad day when you finally realize all the work you have done to date is reaping only trading injuries.
10 MAJOR BENEFITS OF WRITING A PERSONAL OR TRADERâS CONSTITUTION
1. A constitution provides us with a purpose for what we are doing. The reason we learn to trade is to make a profit. However, the greatest benefit I have received from learning to trade is how it completely changed many parts of my character and personality for the better.
2. A constitution forces us to create a set of boundaries and rules for our safety. Those rules create the boundaries of our performance and teach us to say no to the things that are not good for us and yes to the things that are good for us.
3. A constitution helps us avoid mistakes in life that can result in bad consequences; this forces us to play closer attention to the rules. Such situations cause us to be more disciplined, especially in trading when we make mistakes that have a negative financial consequence.
4. A constitution helps us be disciplined to our beliefs, which gives us security and stability. True stability takes place when there is ultimate order involved with the task at hand, and true order is when the presumed order is in balance with the disorder. A person then knows what to expect when the unexpected takes place.
5. A constitution keeps us disciplined to our new rules. When we incur a change of behavior and actions due to understanding a greater benefit in performing one way instead of another way, a huge benefit is our personality, reputation, and character change for the better.
6. A constitution guides us and keeps us safe. A clear constitution helps us understand ourselves better and provides us guidance for making decisions.
7. A constitution becomes the policing force in our life. It reminds us of our values and what is important to us when we are tempted to stray.
8. Discipline to oneâs constitution reduces stress and can increase daily relaxation, especially as we trade. You know your constitution is right when it tends to preserve the integrity and stability of all your relationships, especially the relationship you have with the market.
9. A constitution eliminates a desire to blame. Any successful person always accepts responsibility for what happens and focuses on fixing the problem instead of finding the blame.
10. A constitution outlines our destiny as people and traders.w Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a choice and decision we make.
