There seems overwhelmingly implicit in dreams, transference, repetition compulsion a “drive to represent” which can maybe only be satisfied intersubjectively, which developmentally begins in the dyad, but which also becomes the seed of the ability for one to reflect on one’s own thoughts. It seems to me that one real moment of hope in our creative capacity, and a possibility to create a future (in the sense of new experience) happens in the unpacking. This is one capacity that psychoanalysis has allowed me to develop in my own life. What allows or obviates a subject’s capacity to detect and unpack our psychic densities?
