Repeat steps 3–7 using opposite hands, as described below:

L1 and L2 grasp upper and lower R2f near the base of R2 . . .

. . . and remove both loops from R2.

L1 and L2 fold the removed double loop down over the R palmar string, passing their tips between the former lower R2n and R2f strings. Then L1 and L2 pass the double loop they are holding up under the R palmar string . . .

. . . and temporarily give the double loop to R1 and R2.

L1 and L2, passing over the R palmar string, recapture the double loop that was temporarily given to R1 and R2.
