The elevator took forever to come down to the ground level. Reid was holding Cassie’s hand, and the way he looked at her made Cassie’s stomach turn over and tie itself in a knot. In a good way, of course.

Just when she was ready to make a mental note to complain to her parents about the wait time on the elevators in their expensively renovated building, Cassie heard the familiar ding and the doors opened. Cassie walked in, pressed three, and then moved to a corner. Reid stood in the middle of the elevator, and when the doors closed and Cassie felt the first pull of the elevator lifting, she launched herself at him.

There was no such thing as gravity or decorum. Reid met her intensity and groaned into their kiss, his hands snuggly under the sheer underpants, cupping her bottom and squeezing. A moan escaped Cassie’s lips, which also made her giggle.

All too soon, another ding alerted them to their arrival on the top floor, and Cassie grabbed Reid’s hand and led him to her apartment. She fished a key out of the side of her intricate moto boots, knowing as she bent down, Reid was getting a very well-endowed show. Let him look, she thought to herself. He could make the most of it in a minute.

With her door unlocked, she turned around to face him and smiled at him. He smiled back at her, not just a half smirk, but a full-fledged, beautiful smile, like he was already satisfied. She opened the door, pulled him by the belt loop through the threshold, and they stumbled in, kissing and caressing all the way.

Breaking away for a moment, Cassie placed her apartment key in a small trinket dish on her hallway credenza and took in the bright morning-light view of River North, and then took off Reid’s leather jacket, coyly glancing over her shoulder at him. She could hear his breath hitch as she stopped by her sofa, leaning against the back to unzip and unbuckle one moto boot and then the other, letting them each hit the floor with a thud. Then she walked with an extra swing in her hips down the hallway, pausing briefly when she realized he was also removing articles of clothing as he followed her.

By the time she reached her bedroom, Reid had removed everything but his formfitting black boxer briefs, and she smiled to show him she liked what she saw. His long, lanky form was lithe and hard, and as she paused in the doorway of her room, she ran her hand over his abs, making him shiver, and goose bumps pebbled her skin in response. Cassie hooked a finger in the waistband of his boxers and pulled him toward her.

They fumbled their way toward her bed, through the maze of shoes and discarded clothes Cassie didn’t have the time to worry about now. All that mattered was Reid was there, in her arms, in her home, and nothing else.
