In Example 5.1, we demonstrate how the force density method works for form-finding of cable-nets, which carry only tension (positive force densities) in their members. Moreover, in the examples in this chapter, the units will be omitted without doing any harm to discussions on self-equilibrium as well as stability of the structures.
