I had just shut my eyes, but Serberus was already snoring away. His head was on my bare belly, his hands on my boob and hip. My fingers were tangled in his hair, still playing with his thick curls.
Knowing I was the reason Serb had fallen asleep feeling completely and entirely satisfied for the first time in possibly his entire life made me feel like a damn queen.
Though my body was exhausted in the very best way, my mind wasnât. I relived the time Iâd spent with Serberusâthe hot moments, the playful touches, the earth-shattering climaxesâand for the first time in a really, really long time, I wanted to paint something for myself.
Not because of a vision, or for someone else, but because there were moments in my life I didnât want to forget.
I eyed the paint and canvas across the room in the mini art studio Serb had built for me. It was only a few feet from the bed, and the unopened paints and fresh canvas called to me.
But, getting out of bed without waking up Serberus would be almost impossible, considering the way we held each other.
Pushing away the desire to paint, I leaned back and tried to focus on sleeping.
The itch for a brush and paint was becoming unbearable, though. My fingers twitched, and I began wondering if my need to paint after a vision was because of my connection to Fate, or because it was my favorite coping method. It didnât matter; the twitch remained.
Sleep was a lost cause, so I carefully slipped out from underneath my horny hellhound. I wrestled my way out, and was almost free when his hand wrapped around my crotch and squeezed.
Shit.
âSerberus, no.â I whispered as I swatted his hand. âYouâre going to orgasm me to death.â The wording was weird, and I was almost entirely sure it wasnât possible.
âThatâs not a thing,â he rumbled, confirming my theory.
âYou could make it a thing.â I squeezed his already-hard dick, and he caught my hand, holding it to his hardness. âI want to paint us. Let go.â
He released me reluctantly, and changed positions so he could watch me cross the room.
âPaint in the nude,â he called from behind me.
I flipped him off over my shoulder, and he chuckled. I bit back a grin.
âYou know, Indi doesnât have to be short for Indiana, if you really donât like my name.â I told him, spilling thoughts as I grabbed a paint brush. âWhen people create things that arenât traditional in the Overworld, they call it âindieâ art. It just means itâs independent, or unique. I like that. As fancy as your nicknames are, I think Iâd rather be a piece of nontraditional art.â
Serb was silent for a few moments. I knew he was considering what Iâd said, and I felt his eyes on me as I put paint on my palette.
I had no mental image of what I wanted to create. I didnât know how much paint Iâd need of each color, or what the shapes would look like.
