The Final Result

After all of the effort involved in making an IR exposure, you will most likely end up with a red/ brown picture that will look very different to the IR photos you may have seen on the Internet or elsewhere. This is fixed by converting the image to black and white in post-processing, and then possibly toning the image. There are numerous ways in which this can be done, and we will look at black-and-white conversion in Chapter 5.
