You lack a sense of proportion, Hartpury. I need no doctorate in an obscure scientific discipline to know that your test sequence becomes valueless if the subject realises she is under observation. My focus is ensuring the containment of events and the smooth running of this operation. I know R&D has long had a difficult relationship with reality, but may I remind you that if you start on the highest setting, it leaves you nowhere else to go. Escalate the severity of the tests if you must but be aware that I have orders to watch and assess you. I would strongly suggest that you aim for a controlled fear response and reaction in the subject, not outright desperation.
