Elderon’s roar echoes out from Crystal Isle and across the Sapphire Bridge, causing the residents of Starlight to quiver in fear. Puppets stop in their tracks and city masters tremble in their towers as they wait for an appearance by their supreme mage. He doesn’t come, leaving them confused and uncertain. An angry Elderon only spells trouble for everyone.

Darkness has already descended but suddenly the abundance of stars becomes few and the moon disappears from the sky. Now all begin to also wonder what has become of the dream master whose task it is to hang them?

Dela bursts from the top window of her tower, changing form as she leaps out into the air. Her eagle form is huge with gold-tipped tail feathers and piercing sky-blue eyes, set in a face the same gold tone of her tail. She rockets into the night and reaches Renpho’s tower in seconds. She takes her human form as her feet touch the steps in front of his tower. She finds the door hanging half off its hinges, and the street outside his door is in shambles with broken moon lamps and crumbled stone paths.

After running through every inch of his tower, Dela is in tears. The dream master is missing, and she fears what Elderon will do to him if he got involved in yet another scheme that could threaten Starlight City. It is only now that she realizes how much she truly cares for him, and she promises herself that Lena Darksight and Lucas Obelisk will pay dearly if they have gotten him involved in anything that causes him trouble. She has to get to Elderon and plead for his soul. Dela bends her knees and leaps up into the air. Her eagle form takes flight once more, headed on a straight course for Elderon’s fortress.
