Outside, in the shadows of the far reaches of the large parking lot, a Wizard and Witch emerged under the farthest streetlamp, sniffing the air. "Smells rancid. Just the way I like it," said the Witch, wrinkling her nose. The pair were seeking out the different trails of dark magic that were still lingering behind the magicals who had reluctantly departed. The Wizard held up his wand, twirling it in a lazy circle as the dark trails wove themselves together, disappearing into the palm of his hand. Just beneath his palm, peeking out from his neat, white shirt was a violet-colored R intertwined with a P.

"Did we get enough to trace them?" asked the Witch, keeping watch to make sure no one saw them.

"More than enough." He licked his palm, savoring the acrid burn on the tip of his tongue that came from so much energy being stirred together. "Let the games begin." The corners of his mouth curled up ever so slightly as he opened a portal. "After you," he said with a slight bow. "First up, Millview. He was there in Chicago when the vault collapsed. This should be satisfying."

"Let's make his ending last," said the Witch, stepping through the portal. "I have nowhere else to be tonight."

"As you wish," said the Wizard, stepping carefully behind her, letting the portal close with a quiet hiss.
