Chapter 12
Getting To Know You
Yasmin
We got into our first argument a week after the honeymoon, and I'm not talking about a little disagreement. I'm talking about a yelling, screaming match that I didn't even know I was capable of. And now that I'm looking back, I think it may have had something to do with Aunt Flo coming to visit that morning.
My pa-pa always said that I turned into a completely different person during that time of the month. He said it was why he always seemed to get real busy tending to our berry bushes⦠claimed he was waiting out the storm. Now, I don't know if all that was true, but I'll tell you how it all went down that Friday morning between Gabe and I.
Over the last week I could honestly say I would have died of boredom had it not been for Gabrielle. My nights were wonderful. They were filled with a relaxed, horny, almost playful Gabe that was only interested in showing me new ways to make love and to be loved.
But during the day when he went into his office, I was left with nothing to do. The first day I got to know my new home a little better, which had been Gabe's suggestion after I told him I really didn't care for his kitchen.
âWell baby, this is your home now, change it! I don't care! I just need a place to lay my head! You have your card!â Then he leaned down wrapping one arm around my waist and swept me up against his body before scandalously kissing me in a way that awakened my core that was still very sensitive from the thorough loving it received the night before.
I moaned as my body heated at the idea that he was getting ready to love me again, only to be disappointment when he put me back on my feet, chuckling at the look of arousal that I now wore.
âDamn baby, I wish I could holla at you for a minute but I got a meeting!â He whispered to me before putting me back on my feet and going into his office, where Kenny and Barry his attorney were awaiting him.
I stared at him upset, wanting to march in there and tell Kenny and that little nervous fella Barry that I needed a private word with Gabriel. Why in the world would he kiss me like that, only to leave me high and dry? I rubbed my finger along my bottom lip. Was it weird that I craved his touch? Was something wrong with me?
Maybe Shanice and the girls at Shugga's were right, and my late sexual start was having a negative effect on me. I frowned, if one would consider nineteen a late start, although I will be twenty soon.
Maybe I just felt this way about his touch because he had surprised me this morning when he gave me back my bag. It could be that my gratitude for his action had transferred into this intense sexual chemistry.
