"Everything about this situation is fucked," I snarled to Bandit. My arms were locked around Vegas's unconscious figure. Her trademark silver locks were wet and tangled. Poorly scrubbed blood crusted her towel covered form. Her cotton bra straps were soaked and a faint pink color. We had moved her downstairs for now. I worried she would grow cold though so I made sure to tuck a blanket around her slight form.

"You think?" Bandit responded dryly.

Blue was furious. His commands echoed through the house. It was moments amid the chaos that I was thrilled with my position in our family. Bandit and I weren't fighters. Both of us had a temperament best suited to calm others down. It was particularly useful when it came to Vegas and her panic attacks. My specialized skills, historical and linguistic knowledge, were as useless as his thieving ability in this situation.

"We need to get this place secure," Blue snapped before stepping into the room. His eyes were focused entirely on Vegas. Both Bandit and I adjusted ourselves to offer him room. He knelt down in front of her to adjust the sizeable fuzzy blanket that she was cocooned in.

I saw any semblance of sanity disappear from Blue's eyes. It was like a rubber band snapping. They hardened in determination as he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. I could see the singular focus reaching an all-consuming point for him. Vegas mumbled something quietly before her eyes fluttered open.

"Shit," she scrunched her nose in pain. I found my hand moving to her temple, and I began smoothing out the pressure point with gentle ministrations.

"Vegas," Blue commanded her attention.

"Blue," she responded sleepily in a distant tone.

Suddenly, her attention was sharp and focused like a razor. I watched her thoughts connecting rapidly as the past hour came flooding back. Those sparkling eyes became harder than Blue's unhinged gaze. Honestly. The two of them scared me. I loved them both, but they both had their own brand of madness.

In a quick movement, Vegas sat up straight. She looked down at her towel and blanket-covered form. After a small frown and shake of her head, she commanded our attention.

"I want this fucker gone," she whispered in a heated voice, "tonight."

"We are working on it..."

Vegas stood up with a smooth movement that seemed unnaturally graceful. I stood with her as Blue mimicked her action. He seemed to be waiting for something.

"I want to try to draw him out, tonight," she demanded softly, "I am going to go get ready. We are going to our usual Tuesday spot."

"Vegas," Bandit whispered. His voice was low and hallow.

"No," she growled softly with her entire body shaking with anger, "this is happening."

"Use my bathroom, not your bedroom," I offered.

Blue spoke then, "I am not okay with this Vegas."

Vegas stepped forward into his space, chest to chest, "I am doing this Blue. I want it done, and I want it done tonight if possible. I am not living in fear. Not after what happened to her.
