Figure 24 - Punch a hole for the axle (crankshaft) on both sides of the engine at the point where the centerline crosses the top line. The hole should be the same size as the crankshaft material.

Install a Drinking Straw Riser Around the Pinhole and Pushrod

Cool water or ice will be added to the top of the engine to help it run. Installing a small riser around the center hole will help prevent water from getting inside the motor and will let you add more ice or water than you would if you don’t add this part. It is a bit of a challenge to glue this in place without getting any glue on the music wire or the pinhole. This step is optional, but is highly recommended.

Large diameter drinking straw (Starbucks® cold drink straws work well)

J-B Kwik® epoxy
