“Goddamn...” I stared at the message, dumbfounded. “Do you have more of these?”

“I do, but they’re basic. I guess you were just a little short of level three when you killed the boss.”

I waited for the euphoria to wear off and walked over to the task terminal. The drawing on the horizontal panel was simple — an open book with a waterfall of clocks pouring down on it. Something remotely reminiscent of the work of Salvador Dali.

The activation procedure was the same as the bank: I placed my palm on the indentation, and the empty space became a screen again. This time I saw nothing out of the ordinary. The background was in the form of an ancient scroll, and there were four tabs with tasks: available, active, completed, and failed. On the side was the option to sort by seven categories: common, rare, unique, epic, legendary, mythical, and divine.

Without asking August any meaningless questions and wasting his precious time, I clicked on the “completed” tab. The “receive reward” button flashed across the title of the “No Man Left Behind” mission.

The next moment, something inside the megalith creaked, clicked, and thudded against the stone.
