The River

Assuming there is more than one player left, the dealer burns another card, and another card is dealt face up in the middle of the table. This card is another community card in which everyone at the table uses in correspondence with their hole cards to make a hand. The issuance of the fifth community cards is called "the river".

The turn looks like the image below with no more cards coming to the players.

After the return, the final series of bets begins based on seven cards total. The final betting round is identical to the turn round.

There are only two players left in our game, and bets in parentheses:

Ø Player 1: Dealer (button)

Ø Player 6: The player is still confident in his cards after the river. The player has the Jack of Hearts and Jack of Clubs as his hole cards; therefore, he has Three of a Kind. This perceptive player knows that there is a very good chance for the remaining player to have a straight, which beats Three of a Kind. Therefore, the player chooses to check in order to see what the other player does, assuming they will make a big bet if they have a straight.

Ø Player 1: This player is very confident with a King of Spades and a Four of hearts as hole cards, which gives her a King-high Straight as her high hand out of her seven cards. This player's thinking process should proceed in the following manner. There are only six hands that can beat her hand. However, player 6 cannot have a Royal Flush or a Straight Flush because player 1 has the King of Spades, eliminating those possibilities. A four of kind is not possible either because even if player 6 has hole cards that make a pair, the most he could make is Three of a Kind. Moreover, if player 6 has pocket pairs, then they cannot have a Full House either. The only two hands that could beat player 1 are a Flush or a higher Straight. In other words, if player 6 has pocket Spades, he beats player 1 with a Flush. In addition, if player 6 has an Ace and a King as hole cards, he would beat player 1 with a higher Straight. This probability is low, though, and player 1 likes her chances. Because of this fact and the fact that she is playing "No-Limits", she decides to go "all-in", betting all of her chips. (All-in)

Ø Player 6: Knowing that it is very possible that player 1 has a straight, and he know he cannot beat a straight, he folds. (folds)

Ø Player 1: Wins the pot.
