However, he knew better than rush to stake an epic item. According to Chamir, the ten heroes could’ve received their powers due to the Box. He was no fool to give away something like that.

Despite his high Luck, he had no habit of relying on anything he couldn’t control, unless he had absolutely no other choice. But he had it. He could refuse and continue the unique quest chain.

Another issue to consider was that he wouldn’t be able to take Chamir to his floor, unless he subdued her with the Crystal. He’d rather not spend his Influence Points on a character like her. If he wanted her as a servant, he would’ve simply subdued her without having to go through any of this. He needed strong soldiers under his command, not crazy witches.

Chamir was devouring the rogue with her eyes, waiting for his response.

“Sorry. But I’m afraid I’m not int―” he started but suddenly realized how he could secure his reward — Dancing of Time. The skill would cost him his Influence Points, but the reward was probably worth it, considering how difficult it had been to unlock.

But the skill’s long cooldown... If he used it now, he might not be able to use it in a real pinch. On the other hand, it could just as well remain unused for a long time. There was no way for him to know for sure.

Glancing down at his hands, the rogue frowned and decided to give it a try. With a ninety percent chance of winning, he could take this risk.

“Fine, I accept. Let’s play.”

Chamir was about to burst with delight. “Oh yeees!”
