I feel my release and tilt my head back as I fill her with my seed. The clenching of her core around my cock had me coming in no time. Sheâs so perfect.
We sit there in silence, both of us trying to get our breathing back in order.
My heart is thumping, and I can feel her heart beating just as fast as mine. I place my hand on the back of her head and kiss her.
âChloe?â
She pulls back and looks at me. Smiling, I swear my whole body comes to life. âYouâre mine, arenât you?â
Chloe straightens and tilts her head to the side. âI am if you want me to be.â
Smirking, I bring her in for a soft kiss. When it ends, I pull back. âYes, I want you to be. Have you not been listening to anything Iâve been saying?â
She giggles. âAre you sure this is what you want? After everything?â
God, sheâs beautiful. How could she even ask such a question?
âYes, Chloe, I do. I want you. Thatâs all that matters.â
She lifts herself off me and sits on the bed, hugging her knees.
I lay on my side and look up at her, then run my fingers down her silky legs. âWhatâs going on in that head of yours?â
She looks down at me then lies on her side facing me. I run feather-like fingers down her arm and her waist.
âItâs just⦠how can this work between us? My life is in New York, and yours is here. If youâre not in Vixen Falls, then youâre traveling to play ball. I donât know if I can be part of that world.â
What sheâs saying is true, but Iâd do anything to keep her with me.
I canât lose her again, so I cup her face. âWe can make it work. I mean, you can work from here. Do you have to work in New York?â
âOh, no way! You donât have the right to ask me to leave my job,â she snaps, and the minute she says the words, I wish I could take mine back. I didnât think when I let those words slide out of my mouth.
She stands and drags the sheet with her, covering her body.
âChloe, wait! Iâm sorry.â I slide off the bed and sit on the edge, bringing her into me, so sheâs standing between my thighs. âLook at me,â I ask, and even though sheâs angry, she does. âIâm sorry, okay? I shouldnât have said that. It came out all wrong.â
Chloe sighs, then sits on my knee, and I wrap my arms around her.
âI just donât know what to do. Or how to do this. I donât want to have a long-distance relationship. I want you with me. I canât imagine not seeing you every day when possible.â
Tears well in her eyes.
âDonât cry, I didnât mean to upset you.â
âYou havenât,â she says sniffling. âItâs just⦠well, I never thought Iâd be here in your arms again. And now that I am, our jobs are going to keep us apart.
