Walking into O'Keeley's with the plan to sleep with one of the owners gave Mara a little more confidence than usual. Even though it'd been a crappy day dealing with the fallout from Romeo and hoping her boss didn't hear the reason for the fight, seeing Rian pushed it all away. She tried to take the swagger out of her stride, but it refused to budge. Especially when the three O'Keeley men turned from the bar to watch her walk toward them.

They wore identical scowls that didn't change their attractiveness in the least. Even Cathal looked solemn. It gave him an angsty look that didn't fit with his personality but would make most women follow him around, hoping to be the one to restore him to his usual, jovial self. She wouldn't mention the effect to Rachel. Her friend had become obsessed with the youngest brother.

Mara didn't have to ask why they looked like three men planning the next move in a war.

Tiffany's review came out that afternoon after she'd left Rian to go to work.

And it wasn't the best.

Mara still sympathized with the woman. She had firsthand experience of losing yourself when dating a guy. And, after all the tears and self-doubt caused by Shane, she'd found Rian.

“Romeo just left,” Rian said, holding out his arm.

She glided to his side. They fit together. And based on the tight look in his eyes, he needed support. That always brought up the questions in her mind about what they were or how long they'd last, but she ignored the uncertainty. He needed her. That was all that mattered.

Rising on her toes, she kissed his lips. “I want to hear how today went with Romeo, but I saw the review.”

“All of Atlanta saw that damn review,” Brogan grumbled from the end of the bar. He held a beer. Actually, they were all drinking beer.

“No whiskey?”

Brogan crossed his arms, looking big and intimidating and the complete opposite of his wife. “Whiskey isn't the drink necessary when you're devising a plan.”

Cathal took a reluctant drink of his beer. “Speak for yourself.”

“A plan for what?” Mara asked.

Rian set one hand on the bar, keeping the other firmly around her waist. “Figuring out what to do about the review.”

Mara picked up Rian's beer and took a sip. Much better than drinking whiskey.

Brogan shifted on the stool, facing her. “We think Rian should call Philip on his shit and offer to hold a competition. Let impartial judges decide who's the best chef.”

She looked up at Rian. “Like those Iron Chef competitions on TV?”

He took his beer back. “Not hardly.”

Cathal walked around the bar, pulling out a new beer, taking the top off, and sliding it to Mara. “Rian would kick his ass. I've eaten at Philip's restaurant. There's a reason we beat them on every travel website for Atlanta.” Cathal grinned. “And it's not just because we have a killer VP of Advertising.”

Brogan muttered something that made Cathal laugh.

Rian tightened his fingers on Mara’s hip, bringing her closer to his body.
