Chaz's hands were shaking as he cleaned the paint brushes, waiting for Icarus to arrive at his apartment for their first sitting. He still couldn't believe that Icarus had agreed to sit. The man was so hard to pin down. Chaz had asked him on the spur of the moment, thinking Icarus would say no. But much to Chaz's surprise he'd said yes. And the thought of painting the intriguing man that would not leave Chaz's thoughts alone, was almost more than Chaz could stand.

The sitting was arranged at an odd hour. Chaz's days were busy with his art, his meetings with the crew as they discussed group projects in the works, and then his nights at the diner. And oddly Icarus had agreed to the time. Midnight on a night that Chaz didn't have to work. He didn't want to paint Icarus in daylight. Icarus wasn't a daylight sort of guy. Chaz didn't want the light to wash out the image he had in his mind. When he saw Icarus fully revealed, it had to be with the ambiance of the room and the lighting in which Chaz envisioned him, in which he'd experienced him the night they'd gone to that private sex club. That's how he saw Icarus.

But one moment had stuck out for him above any other. That confrontation with the stranger Icarus had called Portico. The guy who had been his master at one time. The dynamics of that past relationship intrigued Chaz. He kept seeing Icarus on his knees before that guy. His dreams were filled with images of Portico fucking Icarus. Those images were almost more than Chaz could contend with. They kept him constantly on edge. Hard as hell with no easy, long-lasting relief.

Just as his clock chimed the hour, a knock sounded at the door and Chaz went to answer it. It was Icarus.

"You're punctual."

"I've learned to never be late," he said as he stepped into the apartment. Chaz watched him glance around the studio apartment, lingering on the easel that was set up with a blank canvas.

Chaz closed the door. "Tonight I'll just be working on some preliminary sketches. If that's all right with you."

"Thanks for the drawing. I'm having it framed. You want me naked now?" Icarus asked rather matter-of-factly.

Chaz swallowed. This was it. He'd wanted to have this man naked for months now. This was where he finally got what he'd only fantasized about. "Yeah, I do. And--and then you can stand over there on the platform I cobbled together."

Icarus arched a dark brow. "In front of the windows?"

"No one can see you. There's a cement wall with artwork on it. But no windows. We're high enough up, no one's going to look in."

Icarus shrugged. "No problem. It's not like no one's ever seen me butt naked before. I've been on display in a crowded room more than once," Icarus said as he yanked his T-shirt over his head and then started to undo his denims.

"A-a crowded room? Like the one you took me to the other night?"

"I stripped for a living.
