Itâs said that woolly worms are great weather forecasters. Woolly worms have 13 body segments, corresponding to the 13 weeks of winter. Each band of color reportedly predicts what that weekâs weather will be like. As the legend goes, the darker a segment gets, the greater the chance of cold and snow. In late October cheer for the winning worms at the woolly worm races, and enjoy a variety of crafts, food, and entertainment. Admission charged.
