Water of mesmerizing azure, violent waves of the North Sea calmed to the Gateway of the Fjords. Settled on the Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord—the two largest of Noregr, Bjørgvin became a city of convenience, constructing a large trade market. The sky ablaze with the sunset, painted the sparse snow with a blood red glow. Waves sloshed and tossed, the abnormal warmth melting any frozen surface.

This city in the north was with little snow, but nearly always wet with rainfall. Set between seven mountains, the city quickly grew a reputation as the wettest place in Noregr.

The common square was home to the Œskja Kelda, a small stonewell set in the middle, as old as any could remember. It had a history of good fortune to those who tossed in a coin while making a wish. Svend contemplated the validity of the superstition and decided being superstitious was merely a precaution. After all, what hurt would it cause if he did wish for his brother dead, and it didn’t happen?

His bootsteps tapped on the wood plank alley, the solution for so much mud from all the rainfall. The city was built by a series of tight walkways with the building's upper floors protecting them from the wet. Each of the small trade shops closed with wooden doors and had very few windows. Svend watched a man leave a shop across the way and disappear into the shadows. He chose a path and followed it to a dark corner on the east side.

Drukkja Nanoq smelled of piss and sour sick, but this was the kind of establishment he could find what he was looking for.
