To make the ocean more turquoise, you can add a little bit of Lemon Yellow to the paint. This way you can not only adjust the colors but create additional small waves in the water.

For this step, load your clean round brush with a little bit of concentrated Lemon Yellow and blend it right into the center of the blue-colored area. Remember, you don’t want to add additional watery paint on top of the wet paint. If the second color you add on top is too diluted, it will spread out too much and cause unwanted backruns and patchy results, so remove any excess moisture from your brush if needed.

Then blend out the color upward and downward, so you add a little bit of the turquoise mixture to a few different areas.

From there, rinse your brush, remove excess moisture and use an almost-dry brush to blend some of the paint downward, but above the pencil line. This is going to be the foamy part that you’ll work on in the next step!

Then let everything dry completely!
