Chapter 6

Liam

Last night got a little heavy. I had mixed feelings about it because I was mixed up in all things Orion. I wanted more. I really did, but when the time came, I completely freaked. Why would he want to keep such a messed up boy like me? He swore he hadn’t lost interest, but I started hating the sound of my own voice by the end of last night’s call. Orion said that he’d share his past tonight when we talked. I was excited, but I also had some of the same feelings in my gut like when I thought of meeting him. What was wrong with me?

Instead of dwelling on my inner soap opera, I decided to throw all my thoughts at checking off the schedule that Daddy sent me. I woke up at six with his text, got showered, and was sitting down to a bowl of oatmeal. It was cheap, filling, and would make him proud of me. I sent him a photo of the mostly empty bowl once I finished. He called me a good boy and sent me a picture of the fruit salad and toast he was having.

Sidney came down the hallway all bleary eyed. I grabbed his mug from the dish rack and poured himself a cup of coffee.

“No nookie from your Daddy last night?” he asked. Unfortunately I wasn’t as quiet as I thought when Orion and I had phone sex—both he and Tanner heard the bulk of my noises through the wall. Most of the time I loved having roommates, but this was not one of them.

“Not last night. We needed to talk.”

“Trouble in paradise?”

“Just me being my usual asshole self.”

“Assholes are good in my opinion,” he smirked.

“Not what I meant, asshole.”

“What are you beating yourself up about now?”

“Orion–”

“You mean your Daddy.”

“Yes. Daddy wants to meet in person.”

“So…” Sidney shrugged like it was no big deal.

“So what if it changes everything?” I whined.

“It probably will. Sex is always better in person.”

“I’m being serious and not just talking about sex.”

“Okay, don’t get your panties twisted. I still don’t see the problem. Don’t you want to meet him?”

“Yes.” And that was the crux of it. I did want to meet Daddy. “Sid, do you think I should be worried?”

“About what?”

“Meeting him?”

“Because you think he won’t like you or you won’t like him?”

“Neither. Well, not exactly. I’m worried it won’t have the same feel to it. Right now I want to listen to him and am so excited to hear from him, but once we’re actually around each other we’ll start noticing things about each other. He’ll get annoyed with me if he’s around me all the time.”

“First off, you’re just looking for something to go wrong. You have given every possible nebulous reason why you shouldn’t meet him, but not one for the pro column. If you think he’ll get annoyed because you leave hair in the drain or are incapable of staying quiet when you watch TV, then yes, he’ll get annoyed, but he’ll also get over it like we all do and love you for it anyway.
