Run Away

This game allows you to move quickly away from a stressful situation without increasing the dog’s fear response. First, teach your leashed dog to “run-away” and be happy about it. Offer high-value treats, squeaky toys, or verbal encouragement. Then when he is facing something frightening, move him to a more secure environment using this game. This removes the scary thing and changes the dog’s attitude from fear to play.
