Olivia, you clearly love your husband and the intimacy between you, even though it doesn’t include penetration right now. You don’t need to give up on penetration, though. Please resume doing the exercises you learned from the pelvic-floor physical therapist, and add the other parts of the Vaginal Renewal program that Ellen Barnard and Myrtle Wilhite describe in this chapter, such as the Kegel relaxations and the vaginal massage. You can do the vaginal massage on your own, or enlist your loving husband to help you, your choice!
