Border
We sat at the steakhouse part of the all-inclusive, where we did indeed get a steak, a big pork chop of some sort, a roasted chicken, and the fish for our girl.
Maya practically danced in her seat, humming as she went to town on our dinners, and I laughed, my stomach filling up with the indulgent food.
Maya was sexy most days just breathing, but when she was happy and full and not giving a shit about what the world thought? That was the woman that I loved.
Jake sat on my other side, leaning back into his chair with his hands on his stomach. âI think I overate,â he growled, his eyes closed. âBorder, babe, why did you let me do too much?â
I reached out, squeezed his knee, and grinned. âIâm never going to tell you to stop doing something, because then youâd do it even more. I know you, husband of mine.â
It was nice to be at a place where there were only a few other couples, the resort inclusive enough that we didnât feel like we had to hide who we were. Sometimes we did our best not to showcase that we were a poly relationship that was long-term and raising kids. It wasnât that we hid. It was just easier emotionally not to flaunt ourselves. Just like I wouldnât make out with Maya on one of our single dates on a table, I wasnât going to do the same with both of my spouses. It just made sense to act like we normally did, without having sex in front of strangers.
But still, it was nice to have the casual touches, to be with one another and just hang out.
âI know that weâre all stuffed, but tomorrow weâre going to that twisty place.â
I frowned at Mayaâs words. âTwisty?â
âThe place called With A Twist. Every food has a twist to it. Like pizzas, grilled cheeses, just a play on words. We are our own twisted relationship; I thought itâd be cute.â She fluttered her eyes, and I looked down at the martini in her hands.
âHow many of those have you had?â
âWell, itâs a martini with a twist, so that will tell you my answer,â she added, draining the rest of her glass.
I laughed, took the empty glass from her, and then kissed her softly on the mouth. âWell then, that sounds like a very nice plan to me.â
âI could eat,â Jake added, leaning forward.
âYou just said you were full,â Maya laughed.
âI didnât tell you what I wanted my dessert to be.â He lowered his voice, leaning forward, his molten gaze on Maya and me. My shorts were oddly tight just then, and I swallowed hard.
âWell, I guess we have to go back to our room to make sure we take care of your dessert needs.â
Jake leaned forward, kissed me softly, then did the same to Maya.
âI cannot believe you would just do that so flagrantly out in the open,â a woman with a short haircut and narrowed eyes snapped as she walked by.
