Saturday.

Ashton walked hand-in-hand with Josie, their fingers interlaced as they left the Elven city behind them, heading toward the mirror portal. The landscape around them was serene, the soft rustle of leaves and the distant call of birds providing a soothing backdrop to their journey. Josie glanced back at the Elven Enclave, her eyes reflecting a mixture of longing and hope.

“Ashton, will I see it again?” she asked softly, her voice tinged with a hint of melancholy.

Ashton stopped and turned to face her, his eyes locking onto hers with unwavering intensity. “As often as you desire,” he whispered, his voice full of promise and reassurance.

A smile spread across Josie’s face, her brilliant blue eyes sparkling with joy. “You have yet to give me my first kiss,” she whispered, her tone both shy and inviting.

Ashton’s heart swelled with affection. He leaned in and kissed her softly, their lips meeting in a gentle, tender embrace. Ashton’s smile broadened as he remembered his coding, the intricate details he had woven into the fabric of Neon-City. He took her hand and placed it on his chest, over his own heart. “As mine beats for you,” he whispered, completing the Elven way to declare one’s love in Neon-City.

Their eyes met, and in that moment, a silent vow was exchanged between them. They understood the significance of their bond, a connection that transcended the boundaries of their worlds. Ashton felt a surge of determination, knowing that with Josie by his side, he could face any challenge that lay ahead.

They continued their journey toward the mirror portal, their hands still clasped together, their hearts beating in unison.
