This example shows that while steel is more expensive than concrete, it can be prefabricated into common sizes and shapes and ultimately erected more quickly, thus yielding a finished product much sooner. Concrete, on the other hand, takes longer because you need to install formwork and rebar prior to each pour, but its cheaper cost and durability make it a contender for some projects.
