Chapter 3

ELI woke, happy to be home in his own bed. He’d been released from the hospital after two days, not one. Eli didn’t know when Geoff had gotten up, but Jakey lay curled next to him, clutching his stuffed dog, and occasionally Eli heard a snuffle from Buster, who was sleeping on the floor. Eli felt Jakey stir and then saw him open his eyes. “Can you give pony rides today?”

“I don’t think so,” Eli answered truthfully. “Why don’t you get up and see what Adelle has for breakfast.” Eli had been home just one day, and Jakey had clung to his papa. Last night Eli and Geoff had had a difficult time getting their little son to go to his own bed. He had, finally, reluctantly, and Eli figured Geoff had brought him in when he’d gotten up. Jakey shook his head and snuggled closer. “I promise I won’t go anywhere,” Eli soothed, and Jakey reluctantly slid off the bed feetfirst. He walked to the door and then turned back, probably to make sure Eli was still there. Then he left the room, with Buster following behind him.

Eli felt a whole lot better, and he slowly got out of bed himself. Walking into the bathroom, he cleaned up and started the shower. The hot water felt good as it washed over him. Eli jumped when the shower door opened, but he immediately knew the hands that curled around his waist and the chest that pressed to his back.

“I take it you’re feeling better,” Geoff said softly, and Eli leaned back into his husband’s touch. It had been a while since they’d done something as simply intimate as showering together, and now that Geoff was holding him, Eli realized how much he’d missed it. “Relax and I’ll wash your back.”

“Where’s Jakey?” Eli groaned as Geoff’s soapy hands caressed his skin.

“Adelle is giving him breakfast, and she’ll watch him,” Geoff answered before nibbling lightly on his ear. Eli could feel Geoff’s erection pressing against his butt, and while he didn’t have the energy right now, it was nice to know that he could still get a reaction like that from him. “For now, you’re mine and I’m going to take care of you.” Eli nodded and closed his eyes, giving himself over to Geoff’s caring hands. “I’ve missed this so much,” Geoff said into his ear as he pressed his chest to Eli’s soapy back, their skin slipping and sliding. Eli felt his excitement build as Geoff’s hands roamed over his chest and down his stomach. As soon as Geoff’s fingers curled around his length, Eli groaned deeply.

“Geoff,” Eli moaned.

“I know, love. It’s been way too long, and I intend to rectify that as many times as I can.” Geoff stroked him languidly, and the fog of exhaustion and illness that had clouded Eli’s mind for days began to clear. “I’ve missed this so much,” Geoff whispered, his cock sliding up and down between Eli’s butt cheeks, and Eli pressed backward.
