After Xi finished with Mryzzl, and Al gave his co-wife a couple of final orgasms, everyone sat around the couch, drinking water to replace their lost fluids.

“I’m ... I’m sorry for how I acted,” Betty said, glancing down.

“Don’t fret. It wasn’t you that was responsible.”

“Do you remember it? Or is it all a blur like a normal hangover.”

“No, I remember all of it, which is why it’s so embarrassing. I can recall every detail. I can’t believe I thought everything was so funny.”

“Maybe we can bottle some and sell it as a treatment for depression?” Xi offered, hoping to relieve the tension.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to. I warned you what might happen. I never anticipated that reaction, but those kinds of reactions aren’t unusual when you start ingesting bodily fluids you aren’t accustomed to.”

“Well, next time I’m diving in and heading lower. Xi seems to have enjoyed herself even more than I did.”

“You’re not kidding. Between the two of them, they kept me cumming for some time!”

“You know, it’s silly for us to keep calling you by your full name.” Betty cuddled with Mryzzl on one side, Xi on her far side, and Al cuddling her on his lap. “Especially since we each have such short names. “Would you mind if we shortened it a little, as a sort of more intimate name, just between us?”

“No, I certainly don’t mind, since you struggle with it as it is. You try your best, but you just aren’t familiar with the sounds.”

“What does your name mean?” Al asked.

“It’s a particular desert flower on our home world, one which only grows under the most extreme of circumstances. It’s tiny, the flowers only about this big,” she said, holding her finger less than an inch apart, “but it’s prolific when it blooms. The legends say that, following a cataclysmic event that wiped out a wide swath of our planet, it was the first thing to bloom. So it’s always held a revered place in our memory.”

“It sounds similar to our resurrection plant, which seemingly dies and becomes a tumbling weed, sometimes for as long as a hundred years blowing across the bare, dry landscape. But once it lands in water, it unfurls, turning green, and releases seeds which grow quickly, only to once again ‘die’ due to the extreme drought, producing another generation of tumbling sagebrush.”

“I prefer to think of her as our Mryzzl,” Xi said, “which despite being dormant for so long following the death of her mate, has returned to life with the reassuring waters of our love.”

“So what do you think of ‘My’?” Betty asked. “That way you’ll always know you have a home with us, as we each refer to you as our own every time we speak.”

“I’d be honored, as a Myi are the petals of the Mryzzl, delicate little things which, like your resurrection plant, scatter the plant’s seeds. It’s actually a very fitting name.”

“I’m glad you like it, Myi,” Betty said, nuzzling her face once again.
