These were Mipham Rinpocheâs own words. And again he said,
You repeatedly implore me to remain as a source of benefit for the Doctrine and beings. And yet it is not because of the great fatigue I feel owing to the decline of this illusory bodyâs youthful strength that I have no desire to stay. It is because the present times and this illness of mine are such that even if I did stay, it would hardly be for the good either of myself or of others. You therefore should perform your practice in mountain solitudes, bringing it into your experience as much as you can. You can practice on your own independently.
As for me, when I have abandoned this illusory body, tormented as it is by karma, I will have to go to a pure realm of my choosing. And there, at every moment my qualities will progress and, thanks to my clairvoyance and my boundless powers of vision, I will bless you. I will never forget you. Pray to me again and again; for now you have no need of any other teacher. We will meet each other constantlyâin life, in death, and in the bardo state. In the pure fields of the ten directions, we will be together just as in this present life.
