They are both correct.

You wouldn’t know from Hobart’s happy appearance that he’s dealing with bullying at school and at home. You wouldn’t know from Lily’s quiet manner that she still misses her father terribly or that she has so many ideas. Or what Dunya and Skylar are going through.

You have your battles, too, as does everyone. Wouldn’t it be preferable if we helped each other through the day instead of throwing up roadblocks? Even a smile or a kind, supportive word here and there would help.

Incidentally, do you remember I intimated that Dunya and Skylar were in the story for a reason? Flip back to my earlier remarks if you don’t believe me.
