Such lengthy prayers are popular today in the Papacy, and stem from the same source: some waste their time by murmuring endless Ave Marias and saying their rosary a hundred times, while others, like the canons and hypocrites, sell their fakery to the people by chanting in church day and night and muttering their breviary. Because such vain verbosity is akin to treating God like a small child, we should not be surprised if Jesus Christ shuts the door against such practices and does not allow them into his church, where the only prayers to be heard are genuine and authentic.
