Sick today. Sore throat, aches. Figures. After a long, stressful period of activity, a period of relative calm is usually when it all falls in on you, healthwise. Not horribly so, but enough that once I got Maddie home from her therapy, I went to bed and stayed there all day and most of the evening.

I don’t know how to take care of Maddie if I get really sick, since I scarcely know how to take care of her when I’m not. Kid needs a mommy a lot more than she needs a daddy. But, poor thing, a daddy’s all she’s got.

Maddie growing up without a mommy and, especially, growing up not remembering the amazing mommy she had, makes me want to scream. Can’t. My throat hurts.
