The Line-Up Game

Directions

1. Divide the group into two teams. Each team should have at least 8 members.

2. Explain to the group that each team will be lining up according to a category or theme. They are not to talk but can use non-verbal cues.

3. After the groups are given instructions on the category or theme to line-up for, the teams will face the wall so that they will not be distracted by the other team while doing their formation. The leader or moderator will designate the beginning of the line.

4. When the team is done lining-up, then they face the other team.

5. To check whether the team members are properly lined up, the moderator will ask each team member starting from the beginning of the line to say their number. For example, if the category is AGE, each member will say his/her age.

6. The team that has everyone correctly positioned accordingly, from the least to the greatest number wins the game. Several rounds can be done with different categories. The team with the most points wins the overall game.

Variations:

Groups are only allowed non-verbal cues. Set a time limit and number of rounds. Categories or themes for line-up may include: Age, Birthday, Number of pets, Number of shoes, Number of toys, Number of pencils, Time they went to bed last night, Time they woke up this morning, and more.
