Chapter 18

Ajax couldn't stop grinning as he started, excited to get the girls’ thoughts on his plan. "Everyone is going to be focused on the quests for supplying the cities for the vault. Getting the key undoubtedly comes with massive rewards."

Melissa nodded. "BRG has been very vague about the rewards, but at the opening of the vault, those with the keys are supposed to get a unique 'next level' reward."

Nodding, he’d gotten the same feeling at the convention. "So we find the right way for us to participate in it while still building our skills. Most of the materials are going to come from the Twilight Jungle, and we want to farm rep there anyway."

Melissa did a little fist pump. She really wanted that taming spell.

"But we can't compete with these full guilds, nor do we really want to start buying them." He watched as the girls got confused and smiled. "So, we take their materials. Our focus shifts to PvP in the Twilight Jungle. We take what people have collected."

Adriana's eyes lit up. "Oh! We can kill Richard a bunch."

"I doubt he'll be there doing such manual labor work himself," Sarah huffed and crossed her arms. "We are going to create a lot of bad PR if we do this Ajax. It might work fine for a couple days, but then people are going to be prepared. And we’re not exactly going to be fan favorites."

Ajax nodded. He knew there was a lot of risk in it, but it was their best shot at getting the resources they needed to still be as successful as the guilds. Going full murder hobo for loot was the most viable strategy available to them.

"What if we also partnered with Ultima?" Melissa asked. "We can't join their guild, but we could work together in this."

"Yeah, that would be nice, but there's only one key. There’d still be a battle with them at the end for who would win it. I don’t think we could truly partner with another guild for this."

"If we’re going to be doing ambushes, then we might want to skip the convention, or at least the morning part today. We could spend some time in the game scouting and preparing while others are at the convention," Daphne said, her eyes still droopy.

Ajax hadn’t thought of that, but she was completely right. "I think that's perfect. There are plenty of players not at the convention, but this is where all the big guilds are right now."

Then he looked over at Violet. "I can just summon you back to the game?"

"Yes, Master."

"Alright then. Let's get to it." Ajax clapped, and they quickly finished their breakfast, moving upstairs to get into their PIUs.
