One day in June of 2010, Standish was taking a rare weekend away from her busy film schedule to relax at her Maine property. She and her cousin, Linda Graves (“Graves”), walked around the property to look for birds, while they breathed the fresh, seaside air and talked about the character Standish was playing in her latest film. Standish saw a white shape at the end of her property. She took out her birding binoculars. “What on earth?” Standish said to Graves. “There is a bride over there, and she’s drinking from my stream!” Graves exclaimed, “Wow, that is strange. I hope she doesn’t get sick.” Standish and Graves returned to the house and called the Coopers to find out what was going on. Standish quickly learned about the wedding business. “You can’t have a wedding business on my land, using my stream!” said Standish. “Well, you never wanted that land,” said Anita. “You’re never even here. Besides, my nephew is a law student, and he says it’s ours now, anyway. See you in court.”
