Structural Characteristics of Collaboration Relationships.

Referring to the work of Guimerà et al. [20], this paper proposed a method to investigate the characteristics of collaboration relationships in the giant component, as shown in (1) and (2) respectively.

In (1), li,km represents the number of links between k-degree node i and other nodes in the module m, and are the mean value and standard deviation of the inner-module degree of all nodes in the module m, n represents the number of k-degree nodes in module m. Accordingly, the parameter z examines the link distribution of k-degree nodes in the module. A higher value of z means k-degree nodes connect better with the other nodes in module m, otherwise, there are few links between k-degree nodes and other nodes when z value is small.
