His smile was sweet, but she sensed it wasn't representative of his real intent.

Lettie watched as his free hand cupped her breast, fingers finding a nipple that had softened, but not for long. When slightly nervous eyes sought—and found—his, and as he stared down into them, he encouraged in a whisper, "That's it. I like watching you as I touch you."

"B-but aren't we done?"

Alek chuckled. "I'm done, for the moment, anyway, petite, but you—you've just begun."

She didn't really know what he meant by that, he could see. It made him chuckle, probably when he shouldn't have. "So much for being a liberated woman, Lettie. You've not slept with a man until now, and you've never had an orgasm."

He realized immediately that he should have kept his comment to himself, too.

Screaming and yelling, he was prepared for. He'd also anticipated her trying to get the use of her arms back or trying to get away from him. What he hadn't expected was that she was going to lie there with her eyes closed, tears leaking silently into her hair.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that," he whispered, taking her nearest nipple into his mouth in another form of apology, of sorts, and not releasing her despite her earnest struggles to do so. She was so insistent that he let go that he finally caught that delicate bud between his front teeth, which got her to cease her movements very quickly, because every time she threw herself in any direction, her nipple hurt.

"Let me up," she hissed.

"No." She did her best to try to reclaim her hands, but she was severely hampered by his hold on that very delicate part of her.

And although he wanted to kiss her, he was smart enough not to do that. Instead, he concentrated his efforts on distracting her, and Lettie was horrified that it was all too easy for him to do so.

The teeth that had been surrounding that sensitive flesh were replaced by a tongue that was quite expert at soothing it as he used it to drive her crazy in an entirely different way.

She wasn't going to moan. She refused to moan. And she definitely was not going to arch her back so that he could take more of her into that devilish mouth of his. Nope. She wasn't going to do either of those things.

Until she did them, without really thinking about it. Her body wanted her to do it, so it happened. And boy was she glad—well, some of her, anyway—when she did!

But when his hand began to wander down over her stomach, she became less distracted and more concerned about what it was going to be doing to her, potentially. He still refused to let go of her hands, and she desperately wanted them back, in order to stop his inevitable advance.

"Alek, stop, please. Let my hands go, please."

He did stop dead, with his hand between her belly button and that enticing patch of blonde hair.

"Can you promise me that you won't try to stop me?" he asked softly.
