Hotels in the Ko ‘Olina resort area – especially Disney’s Aulani – have become some of the most popular on the entire island, and many travelers like stopping at the Dole Plantation for some pineapples on the drive to the North Shore. The US military also has quite a presence. In short, the area might be the most eclectic portion of the entire island. Which is precisely why so many visitors like it so much.
